About the Festival

Where Tea Meets Community

Launched in 2024, the DSM Tea Festival is an annual event in Des Moines, initiated by Mayalu. This vibrant festival brings together passionate tea vendors from across the region, offering tastings of rare and beloved blends, educational workshops, and a vibrant community atmosphere.


This festival is a bridge between traditions — honoring the deep roots of tea culture while fostering new connections in the heart of Des Moines.

General Admission
10am - 3pm
$18 per person
Enjoy a relaxed tea experience with:

  • Porcelain tasting cup to sample tea from all vendors

  • Tote bag for your purchases and items

  • Unlimited tea sampling from vendors

  • Access to all vendor booths and shopping

  • Option to join classes (additional charges apply)

Early Access
Early Entry: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
$25 per person
Includes everything in General Admission, plus:

  • An hour early entry with a smaller crowd

  • Free tea samples inside your tote bag

Parking

Please park in the surface lot directly south of the building/to the right of the colorful building entrance.

Approved Addtional Parking Lots(green)

DO NOT park under the building, the entrance on the lower level will be locked. 
Parking is accessible from 10th Street/Center Street/Methodist Drive. Additional parking can be found through metered parking along 10th Street/Center Street/Methodist Drive.

Overflow parking may be used at the Unity Point Child Care lot directly across the street. See 
Please avoid parking in the nearby apartment complex on 10th Street. They will tow your car.
